Chelsea’s Emerson says injury ‘nothing serious’ after Italy win

Chelsea full-back Emerson gets taken to social media to say his harm”is nothing serious”, once he limped off throughout Italy’s 2-1 win over Finland on Sunday day.
The 25-year-old, that has started all of Chelsea’s matches from the Premier League so far this year, hobbled off by only eight minutes gone from the Euro 2020 qualifier, after appearing to injure his hamstring in a challenge with Finland striker Teemu Pukki.
But Emerson tweeted following the game to reassure fans.
“Very important success today guys,” he said. “Unfortunately I had a little harm, but it is nothing serious. Let us continue in this way!”
Italy boss Roberto Mancini also verified he substituted Emerson only as a precaution, saying after the match:’It was not anything serious, he stopped to make sure it did not get any worse.”
Emerson’s Chelsea team-mate Jorginho scored the winning goal because his punishment cancelled out Norwich’s Pukki’s second-half spot-kick.
