Colts QB Andrew Luck, former No. 1 pick, announces he’s retiring

(CNN) — Quarterback Andrew Luck, the very first pick in the 2012 NFL draft along with a four-time Pro Bowl selection, declared on Saturday night he’s retiring.
“This isn’t a simple decision,” the Indianapolis Colts participant told reporters. “For the last four years or so I’ve been in this cycle of injury, pain, rehabilitation, injury, pain, and rehab. And it’s been unceasing and unrelenting… and the only real way I see is to not play soccer.”
