(CNN) — Quarterback Andrew Luck, the very first pick in the 2012 NFL draft and also a four-time Pro Bowl choice, announced on Saturday night he’s retiring.
“This is not a simple choice,” the Indianapolis Colts participant told reporters. “For the last four decades or so I’ve been in this cycle of injury, pain, rehabilitation, injury, pain, and rehabilitation. And it’s been unceasing and unrelenting… and the only way I see out is to no longer play soccer.”
