Mets vs. Reds MLB Pick – September 22nd

Even the Mets’ postseason chances are on life support, but they aren’t dead yet. Following a 3-2 loss against the Cincinnati Reds yesterday, the Mets have been 4.5 games back of a wildcard. That doesn’t leave much room at all for them to mount a comeback. They so stormed back to grab everyone’s eye, but their drive in September hasn’t been impressive. The Marcus Stroman trade looked as if it was about to pay off wonderfully for a moment , but the Mets remembered that they were both the Mets and difficult.
The Mets actually needed to expand it despite going on a three-game winning streak. They came up short in this regard and are going to have to acquire. With a run this forthcoming week and some luck, the Mets could steal a spot in the Wild Card Game. That would need restarting Brewers and the Cubs. The Cubs are 3 back, although the Brewers have of the wildcard. Bryce Harper’s former group, the Nationals, will be hosting the Wild Card Game from Milwaukee.
The Mets got a wonderful beginning out of Zack Wheeler, but the offense disappeared and failed to offer run service. Wheeler went 7 strong innings, allowing just 1 earned run in his period. Reliever, Justin Wilson, was labeled for a run at the 8th that was the difference in the contest. The Reds began early with two runs in the 1st inning and then came through late when they had a run. The Mets will require another strong performance in their beginning hurler within this one. Although the Reds are most likely to proceed with former Trevor Bauer marcus Stroman is scheduled to the Mets. Head below for our free Mets vs. Reds pick.

Believe it is too rough and we’re going to learn on Sunday if they have looked in the standings or when the Mets have inspiration to go on a jog. They have to find what sparked them at the end of July. Variance in the wrong direction may be difficult thing for a team. Whatever the scenario, it is not like the Mets have been playing bad baseball . They’re 8-4 in their previous 12 games, which includes wins over Reds, and the Rockies, Diamondbacks, Dodgers.
This game was originally scheduled to go to Steven Matz, but the Mets are flipping starts. On the surface, it looks like a really good idea. Matz has struggled on the street and hasn’t had a feel Citi Field of things out. They can’t afford to permit Matz to pitch the road when they can flip Matz and Stroman. This should provide a place for Stroman as well. He has had a great history against the Reds, since they have hit only .208 with no home runs allowed him against him.
Stroman has been the pitcher that is much better on the street in 2019. He concludes with the ERA of 2.60 and 1.19 WHIP as opposed to a 3.25 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. Stroman is coming off his best performance as a Met in Colorado. The door shuts on the Rockies . Stroman has allowed just 1-run in his past 13.1 innings on the bump. In his last few outings, he has posted an ERA of 1.80 and 1.05 WHIP in 20 innings to enter this significant matchup with a few heat.
Trevor Bauer, his counterpart that this afternoon, was pitching better lately, but has been a different guy in Cincinnati. After submitting a 3.79 ERA in 24 starts with the Indians,” Bauer has regressed using a 6.39 ERA in 9 starts as a Red. The Mets have been strong against Bauer within their careers, with 13 runs and 4 home runs. Look for the Mets to complete the weekend with a win in Cincinnati.
