A Japanese comedy duo have apologised after they reportedly said Australian Open winner Naomi Osaka”needed some bleach” through a live event.
Japanese Osaka, 21, won her first Pan Pacific Open title in her hometown Osaka on Sunday – her first prize since January’s Melbourne win.
The duo, called’A Masso’, also reportedly said”she’s overly”.
Watanabe Entertainment, their management firm, states they’ve been cautioned following the opinions.
Both girls apologised for making”improper, hurtful opinions”, though they didn’t title two-time Grand Slam winner Osaka, who’s Haitian-Japanese.
“We sincerely apologise to creating the particular individual feel uneasy, as well as for everybody else joined to the event,” comic Ai Murakami explained.
