Search For A Song ‘done for the year’

Dermot Weld has confirmed that his Irish St Leger winner Search For A Song won’t run again this season.
The filly continued on a steep upward curve in the Curragh, beating last year’s Doncaster St Leger winner Kew Gardens under a trip.
Having finished fourth in the Oaks she won the Galtres Stakes at York – and Weld is excited about the next year might bring.
He explained:”Look For a Song came from her race but is finished for the year.
“She’s done us proud, and now we look forward to a critical campaign next year.”
Weld was on the mark Champions Weekend with Tarnawa, that obtained the Blandford Stakes, also she has various alternatives for the close of the season.
He said:”Tarnawa came from her race both well and has three options, the Fillies & Mares Race at Ascot at October, the EP Taylor at Canada and the Prix de l’Opera on Arc afternoon.
“We’ll determine which one nearer the moment. The two fillies did us proud.”
