UFC 230 Fighting Odds – Cormier vs. Lewis MMA Lines

UFC 230 Occurs on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (21-1, 1 NC, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will defend his title against knockout artist Derrick Lewis (21-5, 18 KOs, 1 SUBs). The card issuers reside on starting 10pm ET.
Only one pay-per-view following the Khabib-McGregor superfight, the UFC is providing us a heavyweight title match. And it just so happens to feature among UFC 229’s breakout star:”The Dark Beast” himself, Derrick Lewis. It’s 1 matter to score a dramatic, last-second comeback win in a battle you were becoming dominated. However, Lewis topped that by following it up with the funniest post-fight interview in UFC history, on the greatest night in UFC history.
That’s 1 way of turning into a celebrity. And now, the one-dimensional knockout artist who never actually seemed like a legitimate competitor is fighting for the name under a month after taking a beating in the hands of Alexander Volkov. Daniel Cormier’s probably drooling at the thought of an easy paycheck. It is going to also be his first heavyweight title protection.
Regardless of the UFC announcing a banger of a storm involving middleweight hulks Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa, the massive Cuban has stated that the fight won’t be happening. Though we hope this competition happens, we tend to believe the fighter when they said that they are not prepared. Let’s hope he heals up in time.
If those 185-pounders do not get it on, then there are still three crazy good middleweight matchups to look forward to. The biggest of them is that a rematch between former champions Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, respectively rated No. 2 and No. 3. Perennial contender Ronaldo”Jacare” Souza meets former WSOF champ David Branch, with the two men jockeying to get a name position. The division’s most fascinating prospect, Israel Adesanya, sets his undefeated record on the line against No. 6 Derek Brunson. Occasionally,”The previous Stylebender” resembles the next coming of a prime Anderson Silva, and everybody is expecting that this dude is for real.

UFC 230 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Here’s a weird story. In a meeting with MMAJunkie just days after the Volkov struggle, Lewis came out and said that he had no desire to headline UFC 230. That he’d already started eating breakfast snacks and his cardiovascular was nowhere near the level it had to be at to virtually challenge for the title.
He finished that interview by saying that it would have a giant paycheck for him to leap into a title fight with one of the best to ever do it. Later that afternoon, Dana White announced that Lewis will be fighting for the name. Sounds like someone got PAID.
However, the UFC’s greed is showing here. Lewis was almost finished multiple times, and it was apparent he couldn’t survive five rounds. The UFC is putting him onto a card less than a month later? That is called exploiting a star turn. And while we love how honorable DC is, it sure seems like he is cherry picking here.
The previous time Weidman and Rockhold fulfilled, the AKA surfer boy deciphered the prior All-American wrestler and took the belt from him. Time has not softened the grudge between the two, and it was a close fight up until that point. Rockhold has been pumped out twice, suggesting that his brow is a severe weakness. Coincidentally, Weidman endured two brutal knockouts also before bouncing back against Kelvin Gastelum.
Both these middleweights are good everywhere, although they have different approaches in every stage. Rockhold’s submission grappling is topnotch, but Weidman is a stellar traditional wrestler. Weidman can box with the best of these, but Luke’s unorthodox kicks can do significant damage.
Ronaldo Souza can’t seem to catch a break. One of the very accomplished BJJ artists to enter the octagon, he’s been in multiple name eliminators, only to fall short in each one. Beating David Branch likely would not seal the bargain, but he could keep his name on a brief list of worthy challengers. Branch could vault in the title mix by simply taking out the well-regarded Brazilian.
Israel Adesanya has everything required to be a celebrity: an engaging personality and what’s more, an electrical fighting style. He’s clearly a exceptional striker, landing all eight limbs with extraordinary accuracy and power. Of course, like all great standup artists, he’s got to pass on the wrestler test, also Derek Brunson – a former collegiate wrestler – is much more than capable to dish that out.
