Arsenal and england winger Beth Mead states there isnt any place for chants in football, in either the mens or womens game.
The event was marred by reports of chanting, although manchester United beat Liverpool 2-0 from the their first ever Womens Super League meeting on Saturday.
The FA are currently exploring Liverpools claims that director Vicky Jepson – together with the club in general – was targeted from the United supporters.
United say they are conscious of the allegations and will investigate.
Mead is on international duty as England prepare to get a trio of all friendlies, starting on Saturday with Brazil, also states the chants have been a subject of conversation amongst the Lionesses.
Its disappointing and we do not want it coming to the womens match, but theres no space for this in either the mens or womens match, Mead said.
Its very little minded of us do this and people develop for the love of soccer not for the stupid stuff coming out of peoples mouths.
I hope it has been proven and it doesnt happen again because it is not exactly what we as players, staff or anyone needs in the girls game.
